Canal+ will launch two channels dedicated to Formula 1 and Moto GP

For the 2020 season of Formula 1 and Moto GP, the Canal group decided to launch two channels dedicated 100% to Formula 1 and Moto GP.

At the end of last year, the French broadcaster had already launched 2 channels specifically dedicated to the TOP 14 and the Premier League with Canal+ Top 14 and Canal+ Premier League for rugby and football enthusiasts.

This year, Canal+ will delight motorsport enthusiasts by launching, for subscribers of the sports pack (€39.90/month), 2 channels dedicated to the Formula 1 World Championship and Moto GP directly on MyCanal.

The Pay TV channel is the broadcaster of Formula 1 and Moto GP in France for 8 and 2 seasons respectively. Canal + has also extended its broadcasting rights for Formula 1 until 2022 in France. The special Formula 1 channel will launch for the inaugural round of the championship in Melbourne on Friday, March 13. The Moto GP channel will start with the first race in Qatar on March 6.

Canal+ will offer a comprehensive program for Formula 1 weekends across all its channels.

In addition to interviews and reports, Canal+ will offer behind-the-scenes immersions into the teams and drivers of Formula 1 and Moto GP. The channel will naturally follow the 5 French participants in the 2 categories, namely Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly, and Romain Grosjean for Formula 1. Also, Fabio Quartararo and Johann Zarco in Moto GP.

Enhanced services on MyCanal will be available with expert mode: Grand Prix in MultiCAM, real-time statistics, rankings, and additional content.
