Nicolas Longuet joins Renault Vitality!
Renault announced this week the signing of Nicolas Longuet as a full-time driver for the 2020 F1 Esports Series season.

It was this week that the Renault Vitality team announced they had signed the young French prodigy, Nicolas Longuet, as a main driver. With the recent departure of Simon Weigang and Cédric Thome, the French team had to find a new driver and their choice fell on Nicolas Longuet.
Spotted by Red Bull during the 2019 F1 Esports Pro Draft, Nicolas Longuet had to spend the first 8 races of the season on the bench, helping his team with the setups. Taking the wheel for the race in Monza, the Frenchman made a name for himself by battling for victory with the 2018 runner-up, Daniel Bereznay. Ultimately, the Hungarian driver emerged victorious from this duel, but the one who left a lasting impression in this race was Longuet.
Later in the season, Longuet gives up his place in Brazil to his teammate Frédérik Rasmussen, who is fighting for the championship with the Italian David Tonizza. Unfortunately for the Dane, he is unable to beat the Ferrari driver and has to settle for second place in the championship.
Being the third driver for the championship-winning team must surely bring a lot to a driver, whether in terms of driving skills or car setup. An experience that can only be beneficial for Nicolas Longuet at Renault, who now has the right to a main driver role. This experience is necessary to face his potential future teammate, Jarno Opmeer, who is considered one of the fastest sim racers on the grid. The Dutchman finished 4th in the championship in his first season, getting noticed for his victory in Germany and his numerous aggressive overtakes.
