Ferrari drivers back on track before the start of the championship
Ferrari has announced that Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel will drive a Formula 1 car on the Fiorano circuit during resumption tests.

Just like the Mercedes drivers next week, the Leclerc/Vettel duo will once again experience the thrill of driving a Formula 1 car during private testing. However, the date has not yet been announced by Ferrari.
A few dozen meters from the Scuderia facilities, on the Fiorano track, right in the heart of the Ferrari site, Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel will be able to drive a 2018 single-seater. Indeed, as these tests are highly regulated by the FIA, teams can use a single-seater that is at least 2 years old. The tires used are demonstration tires. However, unlike promotional days, private testing is not regulated by a mileage limit.
These tests will be an opportunity for the drivers to reconnect with the sensations of driving a Formula 1 car after the last winter tests that took place in Barcelona last February. This day of running will also allow the team to adapt to the new health regulations implemented by Formula 1 to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
This test day will probably be the last chance for the German driver to drive on the Fiorano track before the end of his contract at the end of the season. Currently, several options are possible for the four-time World Champion regarding his future in the pinnacle of motorsport.
