Renault F1 back on track at the Red Bull Ring
The first stage of the season is fast approaching, and the French manufacturer will return to the Spielberg track on June 16 and 17. It's an opportunity for drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon to start getting back in shape behind the wheel of a 2018 single-seater.

The start of the 2020 Formula 1 season has been officially announced, with the return to competition set for July 5th in Austria. With less than a month before the lights go out for the first GP of the year, teams have restarted their engines and begun on-track testing.
For Renault F1, the tests will take place on the Spielberg track with the two regular drivers of the 2020 season, Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon. For this preparatory exercise, the drivers will be at the wheel of an RS18, a 2018 model car, and will have no limit on the number of kilometers to cover on the track.
To prepare for the return to competition, other teams have decided to bring out the cars from previous years for testing, like Mercedes with its W09 and AlphaTauri with its STR13 (Toro Rosso) from 2018.
In addition to being able to put themselves in real conditions for the first stage of the 2020 season, the choice of the Renault F1 team will also help avoid any setbacks related to staff travel and to circumvent quarantine requirements in countries such as France or the United Kingdom.
Back to it!
