Russell and Latifi confirmed at Williams for 2021
Williams announced today that George Russell and Nicholas Latifi will remain teammates in 2021 with the British team.

The Williams pair better get along because Russell and Latifi will be together at Williams for another year. A natural renewal given the latest rumors circulating in the paddock.
In fact, Valtteri Bottas is reportedly about to sign for a 5th season with Mercedes, which prevents George Russell, a member of the star brand’s young driver academy, from taking the much-desired seat. It is also impossible for the young Briton to join Racing Point, which is said to be already in negotiations with Sebastian Vettel according to some German journalists. Meanwhile, Sergio Perez is said to have started looking into options with Alfa Romeo and Haas.
Dan Ticktum and Jack Aitken, members of the Williams Academy, have only been able to participate in 4 Formula 2 races this season due to the Covid-19 crisis, which is not enough to determine if they will be ready to compete in the top tier of motorsport.
It is by default that Williams retains its two current drivers, although they are both very strong assets for the team. Thanks to his 12th place achieved in qualifying under rainy conditions, Russell has once again proven his impressive speed. On his side, Latifi is also proving his worth. The Canadian rookie not only brings money to the team, but he has also shown that he can match his teammate’s race pace during the Styrian Grand Prix.
