Williams acquired by an American fund
For sale for a few months now, the Williams team announced yesterday its acquisition by an American investment fund: Dorilton Capital. Let's hope that this private investment company, based in New York, will enable Williams to regain success.

Faced with economic difficulties for several years, the Williams team is expected to find new momentum with this acquisition. As Williams states in its press release: Dorilton Capital is known for its long-term approach in its investments, and its primary objective will be to restore competitiveness to the team.
Despite this acquisition, the English team will retain its name and its headquarters in Oxfordshire, specifically in Grove. This partnership seems to delight Claire Williams, « We wanted a partner who shared the same passion and values, recognized the team’s potential, and knew how to fully exploit it. With Dorilton, we know we have found exactly that. People who understand the sport and what it takes to succeed. People who respect the team’s heritage and will do everything to ensure its future success. » stated the team’s deputy team principal.
In the short term, there should not be any major changes in the team’s organization chart, with Claire Williams remaining in position. However, it can be considered that this transition period will not last very long and that the Williams family will eventually have to relinquish control of the team founded by Sir Frank and of which they no longer hold any shares.
