Eifel Grand Prix – Stroll sick, who will replace him?
Sick, the Canadian driver will not take to the track on the German circuit. The replacement would be Nico Hülkenberg or Stoffel Vandoorne.
The Canadian driver was unable to participate in the Free Practice 3 session. Sick, the details remain unknown as to the source of his illness (COVID or otherwise).
The team has confirmed: « Lance Stroll is not feeling 100% this morning and therefore will not participate in FP3 ».
The urgency for the team is to find a substitute driver because to participate in the race, the driver must imperatively participate in the qualifications.
Present on the circuit, Nico Hülkenberg and Stoffel Vandoorne are the potential candidates.

Nico Hülkenberg, present as a commentator for a German channel, has the advantage of already having his seat molded due to replacing Perez for Covid at the beginning of the season. However, he must undergo Covid tests and wait for the results. It remains to be seen if the seat is on site.
Stoffel Vandoorne, Mercedes reserve driver, has the advantage of testing negative for COVID but lacks experience with Racing Point.
The advantage seems to favor the German, who knows the Nurburgring circuit well, having raced there in F1 in 2011 and 2013.
