Certainly, this 2020 F1 season has many surprises in store for us. Without a seat at the start of the season, Nico Hülkenberg will have his name on the scoreboard for the third time this season.

The absence of the Canadian driver this morning has caused a lot of talk, and according to our information, his absence has nothing to do with COVID.

If Stoffel Vandoorne’s name was mentioned at one point, it is ultimately Nico Hülkenberg who will take the wheel of the RP20. Indeed, he had already raced at Silverstone and therefore knows the behavior of this Racing Point much better. He even achieved the feat of setting the 3rd fastest time during the qualifying of the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix. The team has thus made it known that since the Silverstone episode, the team carries the German driver’s seat on each trip. Just in case…

For Stoffel Vandoorne, it will therefore still be necessary to wait before making his return to the discipline. In the meantime, he continues his activities with the game Call of Duty on site since he is still a reserve driver for Mercedes.

COD it is then… Have fun @HulkHülkenberg 🚶‍♂️ pic.twitter.com/7QwYvU9PST — Stoffel Vandoorne (@svandoorne) October 10, 2020
