Alonso admiring the Renault RS18 after 93 laps in Bahrain
On the Sakhir circuit, Fernando Alonso completed 93 laps at the wheel of the Renault RS18. The Spaniard, delighted with his return to the cockpit of an F1, spoke of "love at first sight" upon exiting the single-seater.

Fernando Alonso gets back into Formula 1 driving. After a first test in Barcelona in mid-October, the double world champion completed more than 500 kilometers of testing in Bahrain on Wednesday, November 4.
Driving a Renault RS18 with a simple All Black design, Alonso had the opportunity to get back to driving a single-seater since his last experience with McLaren during the 2018 season and his successful ventures in various motorsport disciplines.
In Bahrain, the native of Oviedo raced alongside three other young drivers, including the two Formula 2 drivers Christian Lundgaard and Guanyu Zhou.
If Fernando Alonso’s performances have not been disclosed, the number of laps completed on the circuit that will host two Grand Prix during this 2020 season speaks volumes about the motivation and the beginning of the adaptation work of the future Alpine F1 team driver, who has expressed great admiration for his car on social media.
