This is news that will delight Formula 1 enthusiasts of today and yesteryear. Indeed, from June 11 to 13, 2021, the Historical Grand Prix of France, in partnership with the FFSA (Fédération Française du Sport Automobile) and HVM Racing, will take place at Paul Ricard. This historic event will be held 15 days before the arrival of Formula 1 on the Castellet circuit as part of the Grand Prix de France from June 25 to 27, 2021.

During the historic event from June 11 to 13, the heritage of motorsport will be in the spotlight. During the French Formula 1 Grand Prix from June 25 to 27, an F1 Revival paddock will be open to the public with an exhibition of several dozen cars. These single-seaters will trace the evolution of Formula 1, which has marked the history of motorsport.

Nevertheless, due to the current health situation and depending on its evolution, only 15,000 spectators per day, distributed in three zones of 5,000 seats each, will be allowed access to the circuit for each of the two events.

« I am delighted to collaborate with HVM Racing by associating the Grand Prix de France Historique with our event. » comments Eric Boullier, General Director of the GIP Grand Prix de France – Le Castellet.

He adds: « This show will be a real moment of intergenerational sharing ahead of the next French Grand Prix of Formula 1. »

Laurent Vallery-Masson, General Director of HVM Racing: A true bridge between the past and present of the Paul Ricard circuit, a place of excellence for Formula 1 both yesterday and today, the Historic French GP naturally invites itself as a prelude to the modern French GP. As part of a specific event, it will offer a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the golden age of F1, from the fifties to the dawn of the 90s, and more generally, in the history of single-seaters. We expect more than 70 Formula 1 cars in the race!

Tickets for the French Formula 1 Grand Prix and the Historic French Grand Prix will go on sale this Tuesday, December 2nd, from 10 a.m. For those interested, head directly to the French Grand Prix website: www.gpfrance.com
