The great operation of the weekend is signed by Racing Point! With Perez’s victory and Stroll’s 3rd place this weekend, the Silverstone team takes back the 3rd place in the constructors’ championship. With one Grand Prix left before the end of the season, the battle is still fierce between McLaren and Racing Point. Mathematically, Renault is still in the race to reach the top 3 but has a 22-point deficit to Racing Point. This deficit is likely to be too large to bridge the gap in Abu Dhabi, unless McLaren and Racing Point have a disastrous weekend.

The duel is therefore between the pinks and the oranges. Racing Point was 4th behind McLaren and trailed by 17 points before the Sakhir Grand Prix. Perez and Stroll brought back a total of 40 points this Sunday by both finishing on the podium. Sainz, who finished just off the podium, brought back 12 points for 4th place while his teammate Norris scored just a single point by finishing 10th. With 27 more points scored by Racing Point this weekend, Lawrence Stroll’s team is propelled into the top 3 constructors.

The two teams will be separated this week in Abu Dhabi to cement the team that will finish on the Constructors’ podium behind Mercedes and Red Bull. For the moment, Racing Point has a slight lead of 10 points in the championship over its pursuer.

This final Grand Prix on the Yas Marina circuit is therefore full of stakes for both protagonists, and we will know the outcome this Sunday.
