Magnussen sanctioned again in Abu Dhabi
Haas driver Kevin Magnussen has again been penalized by the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix stewards. The Dane receives a reprimand for an error committed during FP2.

After his penalty received this morning for part changes, Kevin Magnussen this time committed an infraction earning him a sanction from the stewards of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Indeed, the Danish driver completed an additional lap after receiving the checkered flag while initially entering the pit lane.
« The stewards heard from the driver of car 20 (Kevin Magnussen), the team representative, and reviewed the audio/video evidence. » declared the FIA stewards in the official statement. « The driver braked while entering the pit lane and overshot the pit entry. He asked his team for instructions and was told to do another lap outside the pits. We note that he was driving cautiously and without excessive speed. ».
Magnussen gets away with a simple reprimand, his first of the season. As a reminder, the rule for reprimands states that when a driver receives three reprimands in one season, they are additionally penalized with a 10-place grid penalty.
