Jenson Button returns to Williams
In addition to his activities as a commentator on Sky, Jenson Button has also signed a multi-year contract with Williams as a special advisor.

Since his departure from F1 in 2016, Jenson Button has remained heavily involved in motorsports. He continued his driving career as a Super GT driver in Japan and in the WEC, before becoming a team owner in the British GT Championship. He has not distanced himself from the F1 paddocks either, as he secured a consultant position with the British broadcaster Sky.
His role in F1 will once again increase with the announcement of his new partnership with Williams, the team that allowed him to make his debut in the category in 2000. While the title of senior advisor may sound grandiose and can mean everything or nothing, the listed activities are nonetheless extensive, ranging from providing advice on the operation of the team at Grove to supporting the racing drivers, George Russell and Nicholas Latifi, as well as the team’s development drivers.
Jost Capito, the new CEO of the company, expressed his satisfaction at having attracted such a public figure: « Recently, he has shown that he is comfortable both in business and in the media. He remains a highly respected figure in the paddock. All his experience will bring a new dimension to our technical and commercial transformation. I know that everyone at Grove has enormous respect for him, and we are excited to start working with him. »
He will therefore attend the Grand Prix on several occasions. His presence will then be an important element in the team’s communication, both with journalists and with sponsors and guests, if the latter are able to attend the races again.
