Many drivers have been able to access motorsport thanks to their prestigious family name, and in this sense Mick Schumacher is no exception.

A real boost

While many of them did not have the talent of their elder, or did not withstand the pressure generated by such a legacy to carry, Mick Schumacher confides in us:

« It’s like a boost for me. Every day it gives me the motivation to improve as best as I can, and to work as hard as possible.

The 22-year-old man is proud to carry on this legacy:

« I never said that I felt pressure, and I don’t think I ever will. I am truly happy to carry this name, and even more proud of its return to F1.

Ready to fight and write his own story

Despite the opportunities he had to skip steps, the young German driver took his time to train, progress and gain his own racing experience through the various categories leading to F1.

Interviewed about what he will bring to this sport according to what Michael “bequeathed” to him, he replies:

« There are different factors, but obviously the main one is to be in communion with the team and to build strong connections to achieve performance. What is also important is to be mentally as strong as possible in all circumstances.

Thanks to all the experience passed on and acquired, he sets ambitious goals and aims for the top. No one can deny his origins…

In summary, you have to start the season in the best possible way and persevere throughout the year. While hoping that I will be able to successfully apply what I have learned in recent years and thus remain successful at the highest level.
