The Ferrari SF21 in action with Charles Leclerc
It was the Monegasque driver who inaugurated the SF21 on Thursday at the Sakhir circuit. Official winter testing begins this Friday, again in Bahrain.

On the day after a presentation that will have at the very least prompted a reaction, Charles Leclerc was able, this Thursday, to take his first laps in the latest addition from Maranello. While the winter tests are officially due to start only on Friday, the Monegasque driver was able to get back in touch with the Ferrari’s steering wheel during a shakedown.
Ferrari therefore decided to organize a filming day, authorized by the regulations, on the condition of not exceeding 100 kilometers of driving, and to use demonstration Pirelli tires.
Scuderia Ferrari will be keen to make people forget a disastrous 2020 season, punctuated by its 6th place in the constructors’ championship, its worst result in several decades.
The Italian team has announced that it has worked extensively on the rear part of its single-seater, integrating a new suspension as well as a new transmission. The efforts of the Italian engineers have also focused on the Ferrari engine block, an engine that struggled last year.
We will find Charles Leclerc behind the wheel of the SF21 again, starting this Friday morning for the beginning of the winter testing. Carlos Sainz will take over in the afternoon, officially starting his journey with the Scuderia Ferrari.
