Bahrain Grand Prix: Bottas third « disappointing, of course »
The Finnish driver climbed onto the podium, after an almost solitary race in third place. The reigning world vice-champion was disappointed not to have been able to join the fierce battle between Hamilton and Verstappen.

(3rd): Valterri Bottas « strategically, I was more on the defense than the attack.
During post-race interviews, the Mercedes driver had a closed expression, even masked: « Of course, it’s disappointing, but at least the team scored some points. For me, strategically, I was more on the defense than on the attack. It’s not ideal. I had to make one last pit stop. It’s a shame because the pace was good.
Surely only the Finnish driver considers that his pace was good since he has never been in a battle with his two closest rivals, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, while Toto Wolff himself had radioed his protege to chase Max Verstappen during the second stint.
Sergio Perez’s race, moving up from last to fifth place, could seriously worry the firm with the star in the perspective of the Constructors’ World Championship.
