Monaco Grand Prix – Norris: « a dream to step on the podium here (e)
The British McLaren driver resisted the threat of Sergio Pérez to clinch the 3rd podium of his career, his 2nd this year after Imola. He also takes the third place in the drivers' championship!
Lando Norris led his Gulf liveried McLaren to third place on the podium. Not comfortable with his tires towards the end of the race, the Briton still held off Sergio Pérez’s Red Bull.
First podium in Monaco for a moved Norris on David Coulthard’s microphone: « I don’t know what to say! It’s thanks to the guys in the team, it’s a dream to be able to step onto the podium here! I think we needed a bit of luck and a bit of success. The car was good all weekend, it was solid for us!
