Despite a 2020 season crowned with numerous victories and podiums, Alfa Romeo did not measure up to the Red Bull giant in the fight for the team championship title. However, the Swiss-Italian team had managed to achieve the feat of offering its star driver, Jarno Opmeer, his first Esports title.

The stakes for Alfa Romeo are to do even better than last year and for this, the team has recruited 2 very talented new drivers. Indeed, it is Filipp Presnajder and Thijmen Schütte who will have the heavy task of succeeding two titans of the Pro Series championship.

Schütte proved on PS4 that he was one of the best drivers in the game by winning numerous races on PSGL and then in the Challenger Series by finishing in a brilliant 2nd position. The young Dutchman will make his debut in the Pro Series this year.

Presnajder is already a very experienced driver since last year the Serbian driver was at Ferrari alongside David Tonizza and Enzo Bonito. Although he only raced once last season, the Redline team driver showed a very good pace at PSGL by finishing in 5th position.

With Simon Weigang, a very experienced Esports driver, it will be interesting to see if this new line-up can bring the glory that Alfa Romeo narrowly missed in 2020.
