The FIA has detected two positive cases at the French Grand Prix

On Monday, the FIA revealed that two cases of Covid-19 were discovered out of the 4994 tests conducted in the paddock of the French Grand Prix.

Since the launch of the 2020 season, the F1 and the FIA have been making public the data from tests carried out in the paddocks. This week, on the occasion of the French Grand Prix, nearly 5,000 tests were carried out.

The FIA revealed this Monday morning that 4,994 tests were carried out between Monday, June 14, and this Sunday, the 20th. Out of all these tests, only two turned out to be positive.

The FIA and Formula 1 can now confirm that at the 2021 French Formula 1 Grand Prix, between June 14 and Sunday, June 20, 4,994 Covid-19 screening tests were carried out on drivers, teams, and personnel.

Among them, 2 people have tested positive. The FIA and Formula 1 provide this aggregated information from each Grand Prix for the purposes of competition integrity and transparency, as stated in the FIA’s press release.
