For several years, Sebastian Vettel has been known as a real detective. Frequently, after qualifying sessions or races, the four-time world champion inspects his competitors’ cars.

However, upon the arrival of the French Grand Prix, the Aston Martin driver was invited by his compatriot to look at a detail in his Haas. During the Grand Prix press conference, driver #47 explained the reason for the invitation.

« Basically, I have been sitting in a crooked position since the beginning of the season simply because the seat is too central but my back is not straight.

« In fact, we had already discussed it before and I took this opportunity to show him, and yes, we were only talking about the bucket. He had already earlier advised me to maybe break it so I could get a new one, but that didn’t happen in the end, so I still have the same bucket for now. », he joked.

Present alongside Schumacher, Vettel ironically replied, “You shouldn’t follow all the advice I give you.”

The key, it’s very simple! I spent so many years running and we just talked about the seat last week, because there are always little things you can improve and look at. So, I wanted to take a look, he added.

Mick Schumacher added that his seat problem was not at the top of the list of priorities to be addressed within the American team.

« It’s not as serious as some might think. It’s a slight shift. It’s something I’ve gotten used to in junior categories. And to be fair, it doesn’t hurt me while driving. It’s something that for us is a secondary concern right now.
