After a calamitous start to the race, the Monegasque prodigy put on a superb Grand Prix, moving up to 7th place. An attacking race that earned him the Driver of the Day title!
It had started off badly, though…
Charles Leclerc had made a rather good start from 8th place, moving up alongside Pierre Gasly. The two friends ended up touching after the first turn: a piece of front wing missing for the Ferrari, suspension damage and a puncture for the AlphaTauri.
Charles Leclerc had to stop as soon as the end of the first lap to launch an attack on the entire pack… and in style!
Through superb maneuvers, the number 16 was able to devour his opponents like hot cakes.
The Monegasque driver has made a good comeback up to 7th place, just behind his teammate Carlos Sainz who, for his part, was relatively calm during the race.
A performance that can make the double Grand Prix winner proud.

Nice race from the Monegasque who remains in 7th place overall with 58 points, eight lengths ahead of his garage neighbor Carlos Sainz. Despite a Ferrari that is much less in shape than its competitors, the Monaco native is currently having a more than decent start to the season.
