This Sunday, Max Verstappen left Lewis Hamilton behind. Imperial, the Dutchman led the Grand Prix from start to finish. The Dutch driver even took advantage of his comfortable lead to make a pit stop for soft tires and secure the point for the fastest lap in the race. With 26 points scored, he is pulling away in the championship as Hamilton has only scored 12 small points. The beginning of the Red Bull driver’s season is incredible, except for Azerbaijan, he has always finished in the top two.

With his podium finish, Lando Norris has closed the gap on Sergio Perez in the championship standings. The British driver now trails the Mexican by just 3 points and could move up to 3rd place in the world championship in front of his home crowd at Silverstone in two weeks.

After a solid race, Daniel Ricciardo scored very big points for the championship and passed Pierre Gasly to now rank 8th. While last week a power issue compromised his chances of finishing in the Top 10, the Australian rallied and finished in a very good 7th position.
