Aston Martin plans to change its livery
In order to enhance its visibility on television, Aston Martin will modify the livery of its AMR21, without changing the color of the car.

Since 2017, the Racing Point team – which was the name of the team before 2021 – had a pink single-seater, in the colors of the title sponsor, BWT. Starting this year, Racing Point became Aston Martin and on this occasion, the car changed color and switched to British green.
Although Otmar Szafnauer admitted that his team is satisfied with the livery of the AMR21, he stated that he wanted to modify it so that it stands out more on TV. The American believes that from certain angles, the green could be confused with other cars with dark colors, namely the Mercedes.
« I think that the green color suits us, for sure. I think it’s a beautiful color in the sun and when you look at it in real life. But I think we should try to make it stand out a little more on television, without losing the green when you look from the outside. »
I don’t know if we can do it, but it’s something we’re looking to do, just to make sure that it stands out on TV from the other darker cars.
Even though Racing Point’s sponsor, BWT, remains a partner of Aston Martin, Otmar Szafnauer assures that the next livery will not be pink and will remain green.
With a name like Aston Martin, I think it will remain green. The Ferrari is red, the Aston Martin will remain green.
