A classic flavor for celebrating the Top 3 of the Sprint Qualifying
F1 has unveiled how the top 3 drivers finishing the Qualifying Sprint will celebrate their performance.

This weekend, the British Grand Prix will inaugurate the first Sprint Qualifying in its history. This will consist of a 100-kilometer race, the winner of this short race will be awarded not THE victory but the pole position, so they will start in pole position on Sunday.
Traditionally, the three fastest men meet on the grid to celebrate their performance and are interviewed to debrief the three qualifying sessions.
Saturday, the top three from the Sprint Qualifying will see this little tradition change. The drivers will therefore attend a special celebration, which will bring back a few decades, but with a modern touch.
« When the top three drivers have stepped out of their cars, having secured their spot on the starting grid for Sunday’s Grand Prix, they will head straight to a victory parade on the iconic Silverstone circuit, in front of 100,000 fans, where they will receive unique crown designs. They will be able to soak up the atmosphere and celebrate with fans around the circuit, just as F1 legends did back in the day. », F1 clarifies.
The director of the Formula 1 show, Alex Molina, explains this change in celebration because the Sprint Qualifying is a brand new and exciting format, so we thought it was important to offer a post-race moment that is just as special.
