Lewis Hamilton open to discussions with Max Verstappen
After the war of words triggered by the incident between the two men, Lewis Hamilton is not closed and is ready to talk to Max Verstappen before Hungary.

After the British Grand Prix, which saw Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen collide, a war of words broke out between the two camps. On one side, the Dutchman accused his rival of having unsportsmanlike and disrespectful celebrations while he was in the hospital. On the other side, the Briton stated that he would not be intimidated in order to be less aggressive.
After the race, the seven-time world champion was questioned about a possible discussion with Max Verstappen, before the Hungarian Grand Prix which takes place next Friday.
« I don’t know, I’m open to [the discussion], I have no problem. I don’t really know what we’re going to tell each other. All of this is part of the game, we keep attacking. We just need respect on the track otherwise it could happen more often I guess and I did my best to stay as clean as possible. », he stated.
The Briton also commented on the incident and stated that he was aware that he would be subject to a penalty.
He passed in front of me and we collided, I was quite frustrated because we have to give each other space and anyway I knew I was going to get a penalty. I knew I was going to give everything for the team and for the fans. We just never gave up.
Despite the collision and penalty, Lewis Hamilton won for the 99th time in his career and closed the gap to Max Verstappen to just 8 points in the standings.
