Simon Pagenaud should have done a test with Renault in F1
The health situation prevented the native of Montmorillon, in Vienne, from taking part in a driving session with the French brand.

Invited to Michaël Duforest’s weekly show Racing Café, Indycar champion Simon Pagenaud revealed that he was in contact with Renault (now Alpine) to do a test, but it could not take place due to the health situation.
It was a test to discover a Formula 1. He also expressed his disappointment about the cancellation of the test and hopes to have the opportunity to drive an F1 one day.
Translate: « It was planned, but it was canceled because of the pandemic. Too bad, » regrets.
« It was planned at Renault and I hope it can happen one day, not to race there, because it is certainly too late, but at least to discover what a Formula 1 is. It was great, it was nice to be able to do it with Renault, who got me started in motorsport.
We’ll see, maybe it could happen in the future with Alpine or someone else maybe, but it would have been a great experience. It’s cool to be able to say that one day we drove an F1.
