Alpine is now completely focused on 2022
The executive director of Alpine, Marcin Budkowski, announces that the work of the French team is now fully focused on the regulatory overhaul planned for next year.

Struggling for 2021 or anticipating the technical revolution? That was the thorny puzzle to solve for the Dieppe manufacturer.
The Blues have finally made the choice to give up on the development of the A521. The efforts made at the beginning of the year will now have to be devoted to the new era of F1.
We pushed a lot at the beginning of the year for the development of the car, with the factories in Viry-Châtillon and Enstone, says Budkowski.
« In both infrastructures, attention is now exclusively focused on 2022. This means that we will bring much fewer novelties on the track this year. Not to mention that the second half of the championship promises to be exhausting, and the summer break will be welcome to recharge!

No question, however, of resting completely, as Alpine is still chasing fifth place overall in the constructors’ standings. A good weekend in Hungary is expected:
We hope for a double points finish in Budapest. We will not let up until we have achieved it,” added the executive director of Alpine.
After Imola, Portugal, and Silverstone, the French manufacturer could achieve a fourth double top 10 at the Hungaroring.
