During the British Grand Prix, RM Sotheby’s auctioneers put up for auction Lewis Hamilton’s McLaren MP4-25, which was used during the 2010 Turkish GP. The British driver achieved 3 victories and secured a pole position with this car. The team founded by Bruce McLaren finished 2nd in that season.
According to the auction house, this collector’s item has attracted a lot of collectors, as indicated in the statement on their website.

The seven-time world champion’s McLaren was sold for a whopping 4.836 million pounds (approximately 5.6 million euros). With such an amount spent, the racing car from the Woking team has become the fourth most expensive Formula 1 car in history.
