The threat hangs over the Japanese Grand Prix
The organizers of the Japanese Grand Prix have announced the postponement of ticket sales.

As the Japanese Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from October 8th to 10th, the Suzuka circuit decided, this Wednesday, to postpone the sale of tickets for the race. Ticket sales were supposed to start at the end of July, but the health situation in the Land of the Rising Sun is not ideal.
We are postponing the presale/general sale schedule for each ticket, which was planned for the end of July, until we can provide more reliable information based on the current health situation, specifies a short statement from the Japanese circuit.
Currently, the country is facing a third wave of Covid-19 and the Japanese were against the holding of the Olympic Games, even the day before the first events. While the major global sports event is still taking place (but behind closed doors), serious doubts remain about the holding of the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Earlier in the month of June, the Moto GP race that was supposed to take place at the same time at the Motegi circuit was canceled due to the pandemic.
At present, no decision has been made, but the organizers will use the figures related to the Olympic Games and deliver their verdict, which is expected in August.
