End of historic series for Norris in Hungary
The young British driver was unable to reach the points zone for the 16th consecutive time at the end of the Hungarian Grand Prix, due to the first corner crash.

He will therefore stop at 15. This Sunday, Lando Norris had the opportunity to improve the record of consecutive points finishes he had just set. The young driver had finished in the Top 10 for the 15th time in a row, at Silverstone, becoming the first McLaren driver to achieve this feat.
Unfortunately, he could not improve this brand in Hungary, as he was involved in the very serious accident that occurred at the first corner of the Grand Prix. Harpooned by Valtteri Bottas, he went on to hit the two Red Bulls. The Briton had still been able to continue his race for a few laps before throwing in the towel (just like his teammate) during the race interruption.
Fortunately for him, all his closest competitors for this position were also taken out of the race in the accident. The British driver was therefore able to keep his third place before going on vacation.
The McLaren driver will be able to try to erase this bad Hungarian memory, at Spa on August 29th, on a track where he particularly succeeds.
