Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) promises to be “even stronger”
Carlos Sainz is ready to come back in good shape. He is quite proud of the results he has achieved during the first half of the season with Ferrari. This is only the beginning according to him.

Carlos Sainz is very happy with his debut at Ferrari. After 11 races and 83 points compared to 80 for his teammate, he has every reason to be. The Spaniard is quite pleased with his consistency. He has also set a personal record with two podium finishes. However, he admits that he has not yet fully maximized a weekend for Ferrari.
« I feel that the first races were very difficult to organize. There was a lot of speed, but I very rarely managed to complete all the qualifications, race strategy, tire management, starts, and get a very good result thanks to all of this.
Sainz still sees progress throughout this first half of the season. Even if the Ferrari is not at the level it should be, he has reached a consistent level, as shown by his two podiums in Monaco and in Hungary.
It has improved a lot recently and as soon as I start organizing weekends, I will start being much more consistent and not just quick.
A huge challenge when going to Ferrari.
The former McLaren driver acknowledges that joining Ferrari was a major challenge. He arrived at the Italian team with a certain confidence. The results so far are quite promising. A magnificent race in Hungary starting from the fifteenth position to finish third and a second place in Monaco.
« I am quite happy and positive about this first half of the season. It was a big challenge when I started in such a big team like Ferrari. I came with confidence, but you don’t really know how it will turn out. So I have to say I am quite proud and happy.
