Yuki Tsunoda judges his start to the season “very inconsistent”
True to his frankness, Yuki Tsunoda does not hold back his words. He judges his start in F1 as very inconsistent with Alpha. The Japanese driver promises to come back even stronger after the summer break.

A difficult start for the Japanese. Yuki Tsunoda did not expect to experience a rollercoaster for his first steps in F1. With only 18 points to his name, he is far from his teammate’s 50 points. In this first half of the season, Tsunoda made several regrettable mistakes, especially during practice sessions and qualifying. The youngest driver in the paddock found his start to the season interesting.
(c) The first half of the season as a whole has been really interesting and enjoyable. Many things were unexpected for me. It didn’t really match what I had imagined before the start of the season. »
After scoring his first points in Bahrain, the Japanese driver mostly experienced lows, resulting in inconsistent performances. However, he still helps his team regularly score points. The team is the only one in the paddock to score points in the first eleven races. Tsunoda is determined to bounce back and come back stronger in this second half of the season.
« There have been a lot of ups and downs and sometimes, my performance was very inconsistent. I am quite happy because I managed to score points, helping to be the only team to score points in every race so far. We must continue on this path now that we are starting the second half of the year.
Ready to bounce back for the rest of the season
F1 is heading to the Belgian Grand Prix. One of Tsunoda’s favorite circuits. In this circuit, he secured his first podium behind the wheel of a Formula 3. He also won the Feature Race in Formula 2 last year.
« It’s great that we are starting to run again at Spa. I have very good memories on this track. Last year in F2, I won the feature race starting from pole position and the year before in Formula 3, this is where I got my first podium in the category. I love the track, so I’m looking forward to it. It will be a particularly interesting experience to drive an F1 on this circuit. »
AlphaTauri is continuing from its previous season. Currently in sixth position with 68 points, the team can dream of a fifth place, held by Alpine. A rather correct mid-season review despite the difference in level between the two drivers.
