A new start in the championship for Verstappen
Verstappen is ready to start a new fight. The Dutch driver feels more motivated than ever to take the lead in the championship starting from the Belgian Grand Prix, with many fans in attendance.

After leading the championship by 32 points, Max Verstappen finds himself in a hunter position before the return of F1 in Belgium. In his last two races, he only scored two points, allowing Lewis Hamilton to take the lead. The gap between the two drivers is minimal and nothing is decided for the world championship title. We must forget the mistakes of the first half of the season and move forward. Verstappen sees Belgium as a fresh start in the championship. For this, he can count on the support of his fans dressed in orange.
I am delighted to return to Spa. It’s my favorite track, and it’s really cool to drive on it with so many high-speed corners and elevation changes. I am looking forward to seeing all the fans who will come to support us, and it will be great to see so much orange in the stands. I also think it’s a good place to restart our fight for the championship, and I am well prepared and feeling good ahead of the weekend.
But the Dutchman has never really shone at Spa-Francorchamps. His best position remains third in F1, in 2020. However, he can rely on a more reliable car than in previous years and the power of his Honda engine. The Japanese manufacturer will equip Red Bull for the 50th time as it slowly prepares to withdraw from F1 at the end of the season.
These 50 races with Honda will always be special and memorable when we look back. I believe the first victory with Honda will always be the most emotional memory of our time together, and I hope we can finish this season beautifully with them before leaving the sport.
Verstappen enjoyed working with Honda. Let’s not forget that the driver was never happy with the Renault engine. With a deficit of eight points behind leader Hamilton, he will be looking to come back stronger. At the Belgian Grand Prix, he will then try to win his sixth Grand Prix of the season.
I enjoyed working with Honda from the beginning. They have always spoken openly and delivered what we expected. They spend a lot of time discussing everything with the team and us as pilots.
