Dutch Grand Prix – Big points for Leclerc
It is following a very calm Grand Prix that Charles Leclerc brought back a large number of points to his team, Scuderia Ferrari.

Despite a very promising pace in Free Practice, Charles Leclerc could not do better than 5th in qualifying. The Monegasque driver showed some disappointment at not starting closer to the Red Bulls and Mercedes.
Starting just behind his childhood friend Pierre Gasly, Charles Leclerc did his best to overtake the AlphaTauri but the Norman driver held off the Ferrari to keep his 4th position.
Overtaken by Gasly at the start of the race, Leclerc also had a small gap with his garage neighbor, Carlos Sainz.
On the 35th lap, Leclerc put on hard tires in order to finish the Grand Prix and hoping to catch up with Gasly at the end of the race, but the young prince of the Scuderia was never a threat to the AlphaTauri and had to settle for 5th place.
« These are good points for the team. That’s what had to be done this weekend. I think there was an opportunity for 4th position at the start but it was tough, and I didn’t manage to pass Pierre at the start. 5th was the best result we could achieve. »
