Formula 1 and the promoter of the Belgian Grand Prix are working on options for spectators
In a statement, F1 announces, in collaboration with the promoter of the Belgian Grand Prix, to be working on "various options" for ticket holders who attended the race.

With the anger of the fans, Formula 1 had to react. Although it is not responsible for the weather conditions affecting the Belgian Grand Prix, the long wait and the decisions of the FIA were not appreciated by the spectators on the spot.
After several delays for the start of the race, two formation laps were completed before all the cars were driven into the pit lane behind the safety car. As the situation did not improve, Michael Masi, the race director, still started the race at 6:27 pm. The drivers then once again completed two laps behind the safety car to officially establish the final ranking of this Grand Prix.
This Wednesday, Formula 1, with the promoter of the Belgian GP, announced that they are working on “various options” for ticket holders to express their appreciation and thank them for their dedication and commitment. Fans waited for over 3 hours in the rain.
« Following the impact of the weather on the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday, August 29th, Formula 1 and the promoter are considering various options for ticket holders to express our gratitude and thank them for their dedication and commitment. We will provide more details as soon as possible, as we want to thank the fans for their ongoing support and passion for Formula 1. »
