For several weeks now, Scuderia Ferrari has announced that they have been working on a new hybrid system that should greatly improve the performance of the Italian engine block.

An improvement that will arrive as soon as this Russian Grand Prix to avoid using the hybrid system used in Hungary damaged following his accident with Lance Stroll on the first lap of the race.

If this addition should bring efficiency and power gains to the Ferrari engine, it also means that Charles Leclerc will have to start from the back of the grid on Sunday. An opportunity for the Monegasque driver to test this new hybrid system as he makes his way up through the field.

In a battle for the third position as tight as the one with McLaren, it is important to always raise one’s level of play in order to remain competitive. Only 13.5 points separate the two teams.

To be reminded that this system is supposed to be used on the 2022 single-seater.
