Here is what happens when you try to go faster than the music. This Friday, Kimi Räikkönen and Nikita Mazepin were caught speeding in the pit lane at Sochi.

During the second free practice session, the Finnish driver was caught at 67.8 km/h in the pit lane, which is an excessive speed of 7.8 km/h above the authorized limit. For exceeding the maximum speed in the pits, Alfa Romeo will have to pay a fine of 800€. Apparently, after two missed race weekends, the Iceman seemed to want to drive at full speed.

On his part, the local driver, Nikita Mazepin, committed a faster speeding offense than his teammate. The Russian was clocked at 77.1 km/h, which is 17.1 km/h above the set limit. For this violation, Haas is fined €1,000.
