Turkish Grand Prix – Rain or not?
Not all weather forecasts are formal, but the weather will be grey in Istanbul this weekend, without guaranteeing that rain will not be part of it.

On Friday, the track will be dry.
No doubt about the rain risks for Free Practice 1 and 2, since they are nil. Despite a grey and not very sunny weather, the F1 cars will run in normal, even pleasant conditions, with an ambient temperature of 20 degrees.
A sky to watch on Saturday
The rain should have moistened the track overnight, and until 9 AM local time in the morning. Free practice 3 could be run on a circuit with some wet patches.
On the qualifications side, things remain more or less uncertain: the sky will be cloudy, with a 20% chance of rain. That’s certainly low, but with a humidity rate of 71%, it would be wise to keep an eye on the skies.
Run normally dry
Last year, the Turkish sky had poured torrents on a track worthy of an ice rink, even during dry conditions.
The humidity rate will remain high for the race, with 72% in the early afternoon, but rain should not be part of the festivities this year. The risks are estimated at 10%.
This year’s F1 races should avoid a second hectic race. However, Lance Stroll and Racing Point still have fond memories of their qualifying session in Turkey!
