Turkish Grand Prix – The podium was not far for Leclerc
Once again this season, Scuderia Ferrari can thank Charles Leclerc for bringing back such a large number of points to Maranello.

Very fast on Friday during the Free Practice, the Ferrari seemed to be one of the teams to watch this weekend. Indeed, Charles Leclerc had not left the Top 5 during the three free practice sessions. A good form that the Monegasque replicated on Saturday afternoon by qualifying 4th.
3rd on the grid thanks to Lewis Hamilton’s engine penalty, the Ferrari driver made a very good start and kept his good position. He even managed to create a gap of 7 seconds with Sergio Perez after one third of the race.
Taking advantage of his rivals’ pit stops, Charles Leclerc found himself in first place for a few laps before being swallowed up by Valtteri Bottas’ Mercedes with new tires.
Struggling too much with his old tires, Charles Leclerc finally decided to pit on the 48th lap for new intermediate tires.
I was losing a lot of time towards the end with the worn tires. We were faster at the beginning but then we started losing time and had trouble getting the tires up to temperature on the second stint. I think we made the wrong choice and it cost us a spot on the podium.
A new solid performance from Charles Leclerc, who brings back very important points for Ferrari in their championship battle with McLaren.
