Can Verstappen secure the world championship title this weekend?
Will the title be decided in Interlagos during the Sao Paulo Grand Prix? According to Helmut Marko, Max Verstappen has the opportunity to secure his title in a race where Red Bull is once again the favorite.
Red Bull is in remarkable form with two consecutive wins for Max Verstappen in the last two Grand Prix, bringing his total number of wins this season to 9. The Red Bull driver arrives at Interlagos with a 19-point lead over Lewis Hamilton, who must change his engine and will therefore take a 5-place grid penalty on Sunday.
A possibility that would satisfy Red Bull and its advisor, Helmut Marko, who believes that a 10th victory for Verstappen this season would secure him the world champion title.
“I have always said that the season is over when Max wins 10 races. As things stand now, the odds are high in São Paulo,” Marko told the Austrian media OE24.
But the Dutch driver remains focused and enjoys the opportunity to fight for the title.
