Hamilton displays LGBT colors on his helmet in Qatar!
The seven-time world champion donned an LGBT-colored helmet this morning during the first free practice session in Qatar.

After wearing a helmet in the colors of Brazil and Senna in Sao Paulo, Lewis Hamilton has chosen a completely different decoration for the Qatar Grand Prix. For this very first race in Doha, the Mercedes driver decided to incorporate LGBT colors into his helmet.
This follows the attacks that #44 made against the emirate for its human rights abuses.
« We are aware that there are issues in the places we go. But of course, Qatar seems to be considered one of the worst in this part of the world. As various sports go to these places, there is awareness work to be done on these issues. », he said during the press conference.
As a reminder, homosexuality is punishable by death in Qatar.
Beyond LGBT colors, Lewis Hamilton chose to wear the « Progress Pride » representing the transgender community, marginalized groups, and people living with AIDS/HIV.
Earlier in the season, the Briton had displayed LGBT colors, just like Sebastian Vettel did in Hungary, to protest against a law implemented in this country.
