Gasly reaches a milestone!
While the battle between Verstappen and Hamilton captured the attention during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Gasly's performance was equally remarkable. The Frenchman finished 6th, allowing him to surpass the 100-point mark in a single F1 season.

In Jeddah, Pierre Gasly once again delivered a controlled race and finished in the points, just ahead of the two Ferraris. With 8 points scored at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the French driver reached the symbolic mark of 100 points in a season. A first for him which he is very happy about, as it was his goal for this season.
« Super happy, another top 6 for us and we finished ahead of the two Ferraris, so pretty amazing. This also means that we have reached 100 points in one season on my side, which was the high goal of the year, really happy with that and also for the team. », tells Pierre Gasly.
An evolution and consistent performances from Gasly, but despite this, Alpine secured fifth place in the Constructors’ Championship against AlphaTauri. A gap between the two teams that was created during the Qatar Grand Prix where Alpine had clinched a 3rd place and collected 25 points in total thanks to their two drivers. A stronger finish to the season for Alpine than Gasly and his team are trying to comprehend.
« I think that in the corners, we were actually quite competitive, so different from Qatar, but in the end we were fast, we managed to catch up with Daniel [Ricciardo] in the end. But we didn’t have Alpine’s pace, I think they seem to have found something towards the end of the year.
« We will review this, but objectively it’s a sixth place, we must be really pleased with it. », Gasly concludes.”
The Frenchman can even extend his brand new points record at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
