A special livery for Kimi Räikkönen
For its last Formula 1 Grand Prix, Alfa Romeo created a special livery for Kimi Räikkönen.
This Sunday will mark the end of a chapter in history. After 20 years behind the wheel of the fastest single-seaters, Kimi Räikkönen will bow out. To celebrate his immense career, Alfa Romeo has created a special livery for the occasion.
On the engine cover of the Finn’s C41, the team managed by Fred Vasseur integrated the message « Dear Kimi, We will leave you alone now » (Dear Kimi, we will leave you alone now).
It is obviously a nod to his famous radio message, launched in 2012, during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to his Lotus engineers. « Leave me alone i know what i’m doing », he replied when he was leading the race.
Antonio Giovinazzi, who is also living his final moments within the Alfa Romeo team, also has a message on his single-seater: Thank you for everything, Antonio.
