Verstappen receives his trophy tonight
After a spectacular Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last Sunday, Max Verstappen was crowned the champion of the 2021 season. He will receive his trophy tonight during the annual FIA awards ceremony.

After a crazy season, Max Verstappen will receive his trophy this Thursday evening in Paris. A ceremony that will take place a few hours after Mercedes refused to appeal following the incidents at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. However, Toto Wolff and Lewis Hamilton will not be present at this ceremony, so James Allison, Chief Technical Officer at Mercedes, will receive the eighth trophy of the Mercedes’ constructor championship.
The ceremony starts at 9 pm and is broadcasted on the F1’s YouTube channel, F1TV and on their Facebook page. A ceremony taking place in Paris and presented by Julien Fébreau, F1 commentator at Canal+. He will be accompanied by Nicki Shields, presenter and host at CNN and BBC Sport.
