Marcin Budkowski is leaving Alpine
The transfer market for big names in F1 is starting to take shape with the departure of Marcin Budkowski from Alpine.

After 4 seasons spent in Enstone, Alpine announced today that they have parted ways with their executive director, Marcin Budkowski. The Polish had joined the French team in 2018.
Important figure in the team, highly present in the paddocks, the 44-year-old engineer, however, is not included in the restructuring plan of the team’s new CEO, Laurent Rossi.
Following Otmar Sfaznauer’s departure from Aston Martin a few days ago, it is very likely that the American businessman will come to replace Budkowski as the executive director or in an equivalent position.
The real question now is whether changing the structure of a team in the midst of a technical revolution will be a winning bet for Alpine. Indeed, bringing in people who haven’t previously worked on car development can prove to be complicated since they have to learn from scratch how the race car was designed.
