Lewis Hamilton has not given any sign of life on his social media since the qualifying session of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. His brother, Nicolas Hamilton, claims that he is doing well. But one question remains unanswered, will the seven-time world champion retire?

Even Toto Wolff, the team boss of Mercedes, doesn’t know Hamilton’s decision yet. This situation only fuels the rumors, and Zak Brown, the McLaren boss, has given his opinion on the matter.

“I don’t think he will retire because of an incident. I wouldn’t be surprised if he stops, so I don’t think we should just assume he will come back,” Zak Brown explained to Racer.com.

The new season is fast approaching with the unveiling of the 2022 Mercedes car, the W13, on February 18th, followed by the first winter testing from February 23rd to 25th. And if Hamilton wants to wait for the investigation report on controversial decisions during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the answer to all of this will only be available a few days before the first race of the season, in Bahrain.
