Ferrari reveals the name of its new F1 car
A few days after revealing its presentation date, Ferrari has unveiled the name of the single-seater that will defend its colors in 2022.

2022 is an important year for Scuderia Ferrari. The legendary Italian team is getting ready to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Prancing Horse brand. It was indeed in 1947 that its founder, Enzo Ferrari, entered the first cars bearing his name in races. To pay tribute to this great history, Ferrari has decided to name its new F1 car: F1-75.
It is through a short video on the official Instagram page of the Italian team that the announcement was made. This video is accompanied by a text that states: « She has a name. Get ready to meet our challenger 2022. ». It can be noticed that the present red color is quite dark. This suggests that the livery of the new car should not fundamentally change compared to that of the last few seasons.
Since 2015, all Ferrari cars participating in the F1 World Championship have had a name starting with SF. Furthermore, this is not the first time that Ferrari has used the name of its F1 car to commemorate or celebrate an event. In 2003, the world champion car driven by Michael Schumacher was named F2003-GA, paying tribute to Giovanni Agnelli, former head of Fiat. More recently, in 2011, the red single-seater was called 150° Italia to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy.
To discover the design of this new Ferrari F1-75, you will have to wait a few more days. As a reminder, the single-seater that will be once again driven by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz this season will be revealed on February 17th.
