Red Bull RB18: see you in less than a week!
The Red Bull Racing team has unveiled the presentation date of its new RB18. A highly anticipated race car.
The countdown has begun. It is with these few words that Red Bull announced the launch date of its new F1 car for 2022. One of the most anticipated, if not THE most anticipated car on the grid, will unveil its design on February 9th, which is less than a week away. In a short video posted on their social media, the Austrian team features Max Verstappen looking at his watch to encourage us to be patient. Red Bull seizes this opportunity to highlight one of its main sponsors.
After the RB16 in 2020 and the RB16B in 2021, the new car of the Dutchman and his teammate Sergio Pérez will be named RB18. Therefore, it seems that the RB17 denomination will never see the light of day. It will be an important year for Red Bull Racing. In addition to the significant changes related to the new technical regulations, the 2022 season must be the one of confirmation for Christian Horner’s team after ending Mercedes’ streak of titles last season.
It will be interesting to see what changes will be made to the livery of the new Milton Keynes race car and particularly the placement of the Honda logos. It is possible that they will disappear completely or be less prominent due to the partial disengagement of the Japanese manufacturer. Finally, Max Verstappen’s new F1 car will bear the number 1 of world champion, making its comeback for the first time since 2014.
The Red Bull RB18 is currently the first Formula 1 2022 car to be unveiled. Williams and Haas F1 are yet to announce the presentation dates for their cars.
