Verstappen’s contract extension is on track
On the sidelines of the Barcelona tests, Dr. Helmut Marko confirmed that discussions were underway to extend Max Verstappen's contract at Red Bull.

Under contract until the end of 2023, Max Verstappen has always said that he wants to commit for the long term with his team: Red Bull. Furthermore, the driver, along with the director of the Austrian team, Christian Horner, discussed a possible contract extension together during the FIA Gala last December.
According to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the manager of the 2021 world champion was recently in Graz, Austria, to discuss his client’s future contract with Helmut Marko. In front of the press, the person who calls the shots at Red Bull simply stated, “We are in negotiations.”
Finally, the German newspaper Bild is discussing a pay raise for Verstappen, as his annual salary would increase from 22 million euros to 26.5 million euros, with increased bonuses for wins and championships.
