Bahrain Grand Prix: predictions from the editorial team
Here are the predictions from our editors for the Bahrain Grand Prix, which will take place this Sunday!

Ferrari highly anticipated!
After a calamitous 2020 season, the Scuderia successfully turned things around last year, finishing in 3rd place overall among the constructors.
It goes without saying that la Rossa has pulled out all the stops to succeed in the entry into 2022 and the new technical era. Judging from the winter tests, the F1-75 seems to be fast and reliable.
It’s a blessing for Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Both men are among our favorites, even for pole position! Leclerc has the advantage among our editors.
Two members of the editorial team propose a pole position for Sainz and a win for Leclerc…or the opposite. We need to know, for heaven’s sake!
Do not forget the bull…
It’s nice to think about Ferrari, but what about the world champion? He’s been consistently on the podiums and will surely show up in front.
Only two writers suggest a pole-victory scenario for Max Verstappen. It is predicted that his first Grand Prix will not be easy for him… unless Perez comes to his aid for a Red Bull double! Some even think that MV33 will be flanked by Ferrari drivers on the podium…
And Mercedes? And McLaren?
One writer predicted a winning Mercedes, specifically Hamilton’s. Another one favors Russell for a pole position, but nobody predicts him higher than 3rd place in the race.
With the difficulties that Mercedes seemed to encounter during the trials, this scenario is not unrealistic. But it’s only if the German team did as usual: proclaim themselves as underdogs before delivering a blow to everyone.
The other Mercedes-powered team, McLaren, has been very discreet since Barcelona…and yet! A journalist boldly predicts Norris as the winner of his first victory in F1! It would take an extraordinary race.
A crazy hierarchy?
It is, in any case, the opinion of a slightly crazy writer (or even author). While his reasonable colleagues think of plausible results, only one takes the risk to make odds at 6000… in which Hülkenberg, who replaces Vettel, appears on the podium.
And you, what are your predictions?
